The official place to go to lodge a complaint about: excessive noise, vacant properties, tenant-landlords, problems with trash/recycling provider, construction activity without building permits, solicitor violations, littering, parking/road concerns, etc.  Check out website for full list.  Additionally, you may want to check out the Department of Code Compliance to learn what can be enforced.

To report a problem with VDOT (for main roads), submit a “Report a Problem” report online.  Another great resource is the “Virginia Roads” site that provides interactive maps, volume issues, and information about key highways.
